… violets are blue, there was love in the air, did you feel it too? Another year, another Valentine’s Day gone by. Love it or hate it, there is something rather special in the giving or receiving of a little token of affection that makes even the most cynical of us feel pretty good inside, whether we want to admit it or not. Because hey, in this unforgiving world we now live in, everyone could do with more loving right?
So, I recently saw a video on Facebook about people trying to catch their mates out in a trust fall. They could be anywhere, like a coffee shop, supermarket etc where they purposely tripped themselves to see if their friend would save them. While it was hilarious to watch, it was also very heartwarming to see that most really did try to save their mate, even though by the end, they both often ended up on the floor. But all I could think about while watching the video was how my Poss would so fail at this challenge, even if I wasn’t pretending.
I just came across a rather interesting observation on Twitter about how January 2018 feels like it’s been the longest month ever! Is there something everyone is itching to get to in February that I don’t know about, because I feel like January just flew by. Granted, I have kinda been on extended holiday mode and then been battling the flu again, but it’s like I blinked and didn’t see January at all. Is it just me?
While the rest of the universe probably woke up on Xmas morning to beaming kids eagerly waiting to open their pressies, I woke up to a purring furball pawing at my face, demanding his breakfast. And by furball, I do mean my cat Max. Never mind that it was just past 6am and I was a little under the weather, my little King of the Castle gets what he wants, when he wants – even Poss doesn’t enjoy such privileges.
I thought it’d be nice to kick off the travel/adventure section of my blog with a quick look at one of my favourite Malaysian island resorts. There’s nothing quite like a beach holiday – waves lapping on the shore, sea breeze gently caressing your face as you kick back on the sun lounger, ice cold cocktail in hand. What a perfect way to spend an afternoon.
… the announcement of a Royal Engagement sparked mass heartbreak across the lands, as many a young lady had to sadly cross Prince Harry off their list. Not me of course – that ship not only sailed a long time ago but was hunted down, torpedoed and marooned forever more on Possum Island.
